NBA 2013 Championship Playoffs: Be the King/Queen of Hosting Social Gatherings!

Tonight is the NBA playoffs featuring the Miami Heat Vs. San Antonio Spurs. The question on everyone's mind is "which team will celebrate the victory tonight?" With the help from their teammates, the Heat's triple threat (Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade) go toe-to-toe with that of the Spurs (Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobili).

Due to the tied score (3-3),  ABC will be televising the tie breaking game live at 9/8c.  The ultimate question is: which team will take home the championship rings tonight? But more importantly, how will you prepare for such a suspenseful game? Here are some helpful tips to please your guests at your get-together tonight! 

Snacks

 (Fruits, Vegetables, Chips, Popcorn, Pretzels, Finger foods) 

Whats a get-together without having a little to munch on? Your guests will be thrilled to see an assortment of snacks welcoming them as they walk in. Whether it be delicious fruits such as apples, pears, strawberries and watermelon or healthy vegetables like carrot sticks and celery sticks, people will be pleased to see the amount of effort you put in! In addition to these organic snacks, you can also provide a variety of scrumptious guilty pleasures like chips, popcorn, pretzels, etc. And if you're feeling extra daring tonight, you can top it all off with finger foods like mozzarella sticks, french fries, and chicken nuggets!  

Drinks

With all those salty and thirst quenching snacks, your guests are going to be a bit uptight if you don't offer them anything to drink. If you and your guests are of age, mildly alcoholic beverages sound ideal, for example: a variety of beers, wines, or champagne would get a couple of smiles going. But if alcohol is not an option, stick to soft drinks such as sodas, Iced tea, lemonade, and other types of juices. (Plain ol' water is always an option too, of course :-P )

If you're craving some spritzers, try our Früzen Grape Spritzer. This one has

grape juice & sparkling white wine. Substitute the white wine for seltzer

and enjoy an afternoon friendly thirst quencher.

 

This is another one of our fantastic spritzers. It is a strawberry jalapeño

spritzer, which tastes great especially in the springtime. You get to enjoy

that jalapeño kick, along with the sweet taste of strawberries.

This gives you the best of both worlds.

 

Spring Sangrias- Red or White? 

 

Our red sangria is filled with the perfect combination of grapes,

gooseberries and strawberries. This sangria is a favorite here at

Früzen because it gives us the feeling that spring is here and

the cold winter days are behind us.

 

Our white sangria is filled with gooseberries and strawberries. This is a fan

favorite all year round, not just when the flowers begin to blossom.

We don't know about you but sitting back and enjoying the Früzen spritzers 

and sangrias are how we will be starting the spring season.

As we are all aware, the Holidays are here and are bigger than ever!

  People, including us, are being inspired left and right this season... 

 Below is our new cocktail created for the Holidays.   We were recently able to showcase this one at a Holiday party and all the guests seemed to love it.  This drink is simply perfect if you are having a gathering at your house, or just creating a cocktail for two. 

Under the Mistletoe Mojito

Muddle fresh mint and cranberries
combine clear rum, a splash of cranberry juice,

lime juice & a dash of cinnamon

into a shaker and pour over our mint & cranberry infused Ice

If you are entertaining a few too many guests and are looking for something a bit more simple but still beautiful you can never-ever go wrong with champagne flutes.  To add some holiday cheer, throw in a  Fruzen Ice cube or a few cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.  If you're feeling a little naughty for taking the easier way out, splurge a little and get yourself a custom made ice sculpture to hold your champagne bottles!
