Fruzen Takes The Red Carpet

Wednesday night Fruzen Ice joined Wildfox in kicking off fashion week at Capitale. Guests such as Vanessa Hudgens, Victoria Justice, and Ashlee Simpson joined Wildfox designer Kimberly Gordon and CEO Jimmy Sommers to fete the Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Fruzen was well represented at this amazing event!

Fruzen had four flavors of ice at the Wildfox Fashion Show. Our cranberries, gooseberries, blueberries and red/green jalapenos were served in everyone's drinks. We also gave our amazing Fruzen Rose! In addition, we had one of our spectacular ice sculptures with the Wildfox logo engraved! Fruzen is extremely happy to have had the opportunity to portray our products to all that were in attendance at the event and to everyone that has seen pictures online.

We look forward to being apart of many more of these types of events in the near future, so we can display more of our products for everyone to see!

Super Bowl Sunday & Fruzen Funday

One of the most exciting events of the year lived up to all the hype last night. The Super Bowl , the most watched television event in U.S. history, was an exciting game down to the last few minutes. We all enjoyed the action on the field, some funny commercials, & Beyonce (our favorite part of course); the night was lights out, literally.

Other than to watch the sporting event itself, thousands of people get together on Super Bowl Sunday to partake in a lot of Eating & Drinking. Most commonly you see beer in a can, beer in a bottle, or beer in a pitcher. We wanted something for eveyone, so we celebrated last night by serving our friends a drink everyone could enjoy. We paired our favorite Hard Cider with our Fruzen Ice Cranberries. We simply served the Cider out of a Pitcher and poured it into cups filled with our Cranberry Ice. Keeping it simple was the theme of the evening.
The Hard Cider complemented the wide variety of food we had out during our Super Bowl party.

The Cocktail was a hit & the drink of choice for all our Fruzen football fans last night. Serve this crowd pleaser at your next watch party & let the games begin!

Welcoming the New Year Fruzen Style

It's that time of year again when we all make resolutions to better ourselves and welcome the New Year.  There are always the same few resolutions each year that are the most popular, to lose weight, to stop drinking alcohol, and to drink more water.  We are going to give you a new way to help you out with all three.
To tame the bulge is no easy feat as most of you are aware.  We look left and right for new creative ways to lose that extra weight, be it a new workout tape or buying that nifty blender on TV to make 100 different types of smoothies using kale.  It's no secret that soft drinks undercover pack on the pounds because they are loaded with sugar and who knows what else.  To help your new diet go as smoothly as possible, stop reaching for the powder drink mixes or the soda and throw in some Fruzen Ice berries to jazz up your drinks without adding the calories. With some Fruzen in your glass your body will think it is being spoiled but it's not!
Locking away the booze.  Another, ambitious resolution.  For some, losing weight and giving up alcohol go hand in hand.  It's no secret that alcohol is guilty of packing on the pounds.  So if you're giving up the spirits you might need something exciting to look forward to drinking from time to time other than those kale smoothies.  We suggestion our Fruzen Mocktails.  Add a splash of cran and Fruzen Ice to your soda water, heck, even throw it into a martini glass to fool yourself.  Can't start your Sunday without a Bloody Mary?  Get some tomato juice, throw in everything but the vodka, add some Fruzen Jalapenos and keep up the good work. (Beware, pre-made Bloody Mary mix is not light on the sodium, try making your own.)
Lastly, drinking more H2O!  A very popular resolution that seems simple enough to take on, but many Americans lack on the drinkage of water daily.  8-10 glasses may or may not be the "right" amount but either way, water is important to our health and the more the merrier.  If your water chugging is getting boring, throw in our Fruzen Ice cubes and add some excitement to your H2O!
Fruzen wishes you all the best of luck on keeping your New Years Resolutions, ours is to keep our customers excited and refreshed all year!

Happy Fruzen Holidays

As we are all aware, the Holidays are here and are bigger than ever!
People, including us, are being inspired left and right this season...
Below is our new cocktail created for the Holidays.   We were recently able to showcase this one at a Holiday party and all the guests seemed to love it.  This drink is simply perfect if you are having a gathering at your house, or just creating a cocktail for two.
Under the Mistletoe Mojito
Muddle fresh mint and cranberries
combine clear rum, a splash of cranberry juice,
lime juice & a dash of cinnamon
into a shaker and pour over our mint & cranberry infused Ice
If you are entertaining a few too many guests and are looking for something a bit more simple but still beautiful you can never-ever go wrong with champagne flutes.  To add some holiday cheer, throw in a  Fruzen Ice cube or a few cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.  If you're feeling a little naughty for taking the easier way out, splurge a little and get yourself a custom made ice sculpture to hold your champagne bottles!
Above is world famous event planner, Colin Cowie, with our ice sculpture. He perched a bottle of Dom Perignon on top for his guests.

The Blueberry

Our Blueberry Fruzen Ice Sculpture
The Blueberry, a small, simple berry, that is famous around the United States.  We all love to eat them in a variety of forms.  Whether out of the box, frozen in drinks, or baked into our favorite dessert, blueberries are a well-rounded fruit (no pun intended).  We love incorporating the Blueberry into our ice.  We recently created a sculpture at the "Celebrate! Showcase Event" where we froze blueberries in the center.  We love their simplicity and color.  Since we are assuming that you love blueberries just as much as we do, here are some fun facts you might not know about the blueberry!

  • The Blueberry is the 2nd most popular berry in America, second to the strawberry
  • They are one of the only natural foods that are blue in color
  • Native Americans called then "star berries" because of the five points that made up their blossoms
  • Early colonists made gray paint out of blueberries by boiling them in milk
  • America's favorite muffin is...the blueberry muffin
  • The anthocyanin present in them is great for your eyesight
  • They are naturally low in both fat & sodium
Blueberries are so simple yet they can be transformed into so many great things!  What is your favorite way to eat a blueberry?  Blueberry jam perhaps?

The Cranberry

The Cranberry is one of our favorite Früzen garnishes.  It is so simple, yet has such a stunning appearance.  Cranberries have a distinguished tart taste perfect for accompanying cocktails as well as for décor.  The bright red gloss on cranberries makes a simple decoration dramatic.  Here are some of our favorite ideas for the cranberry on your Thanksgiving table this season.
We can’t think of anything more perfect to pair with tarty cranberries than cheese!  This layered cranberry sauce dish, courtesy of Paula Deen, is simple and mouthwatering.  With this recipe you can dress up that cranberry-can-shaped-mold by layering it with cream cheese and nuts.  It is delicious and beautiful, with the deep red and whipped white colors creating a parfait like centerpiece.  Definitely a show stealer on your table.   Check out the recipe

We have always been a fan of simple, yet beautiful, which is why the cranberry is one of our favorite berries to use.  We stronly suggest using the cranberry as one of the star components to your decorations this Thanksgiving.  Candles can say a lot without doing much prep or damage to your wallet.  We love the look of a white candle paired with cranberries.  The beauty is that you could have one, or ten all over your house and it wouldn't be over kill.  To add even another extra touch to this centerpiece we suggest throwing in some rosemary or another favorite herb to add some extra pop to your decoration.

Last, but definitely not least is a Thanksgiving Cranberry Cocktail!  This Cranberry, Ginger Fizz cocktail is easy and delicious.  You simply take a shot of cranberry vodka, cranberry juice, top with ginger ale to add the "fizz", and add a garnish of your choosing.  May we suggest a Früzen Ice Cranberry to make it a "Früzen Cranberry Ginger Fizz".  The best part about this drink is that you can omit the liquor all together and the drink will still be delicious to all of your guests!  Cheers and enjoy your Thanksgiving.

The Pomegranate

Did you know that the pomegranate is one of the oldest known fruits found in ancient writings and artifacts?  It's no wonder that they are making a come back with their delicious taste, but they are actually being recognized for their great health benefits.  The pomegranate is a symbol of health, fertility, and eternal life, and it gained that reputation for the right reason.  They are extremely nutrient dense and antioxidant rich, offering protection against heart disease & cancer.  They are one of the few fruits where the seeds are edible and delicious.  The pomegranate gives off the perfect amount of sweetness and tartness.  With their deep purple-red, glossy glow that is appetizing to the eye and taste buds, they are a perfect compliment to any drink or decoration during the holidays.
